Hi Matteo

I tried the GWS crystal and while it appears that there is a clear signal on the bench the GWS crystal is much smaller than the Futaba and does not really fit well into the socket. I had a hard time getting the xtal to make contact and it certainly would not stay in there without some method of retention.

So....its possible but is going to require a bit of tweaking to hold the xtal in place and get good contact.

I have no idea what this would do to the range of the RX though.

Yes ivan was using the small futaba recievers as well as frank Knoll and gand at the guelph indoor. What model I don't know. I personally asked frank if he had many glitches and he said no.

I made up a small test stand. I used two pico servos an IPS motor with the ESC . I could watch the servos as I moved the throttle and could also watch for glitches as others used their radios while flying. This showed me if I was seeing any hits without being in the air. I also mashed the wires around to give the WORST case of wire management to add to the glitching. I used several receivers for the test. I use JR stuff and the small 6 channel worked good. The GWS was spottie at best and at times .........OOpsss. I had also tried a receiver from FMA. The M5 was the test receiver and to NOTE it is a DUEL conversion. The duel conversion should out preform the single by a whole lot just due to the way the signal is filtered and processed. It is not expensive and is small and light enough to fit most indoor aircraft. It comes in either positive or negative shift. When you order tell them which way you want it to go and also the channel you want it to be on. I found the FMA to be a good receiver and a reasonable price.
