Further to the Li-ion/Li-poly question. I checked my instructions and they clearly say Li-ion batteries. However the manual available online from Hobbico indicate that it can be used for both types of batteries.

I wrote to Hobbico and got a quick response, which I copied below.

"That charger does properly charge the Li-pos. It's debut was before the
Li-pos were common on the market. Charge the Li-pos with confidence on
the Quick Field Charger."
