Hey the "Blendi Pen" booth was a winner. Now I can write with 73 different shades of red. All that for 24.99. What's to complain about.

If ya deadstick three times just stomp on it...It's an easier death!

On the other hand I really liked the SCX digital slot cars and ended up buying those instead. Unfortunately the manufactur of those did not put instructions in with any of the sets, as I went back again on Saturday thinking my set just missed out on the instructions, only to find out that all sets did not have them. Therefore I now have the track setup and can drive the cars, but can't use most of the features as I have no instructions.

The SCX retailers and the wholesaler really had no inventory at the show. I would like to see much more inventory as I was prepared to purchase many of the addons. I think that if the dealers are going to hold a demonstration they should have inventory so those who are interested can purchase the product.

I would have to agree with most of the people so far in that the deals were not there this year. Last year hobby hobby sold Tritons for $119, OS 46AX for $119 and OS91II surpass for $269. I know these prices as this is what I bought them for last year. This year they were $144, $129 and $289.

The main draw for the hobby show for me was the great deals there has been in the past. I was somewhat disappointed with the deals this year and as such chose not to buy any plane items, as I feel I can get them for the same price or cheaper in the case where I order them from outside Ontario, and don't have to pay the PST.

There were plenty of good deals if you know where to look. As I mentioned, I bought a Hitec Optic 6 with the Spectra moduel. I paid $169. I was checking out some US stores on line and this radio normally sells for $179 US for the same set up. Not a bad deal.
Currently driving: HPI Savage X SS 4.6 / Traxxas Mini E-Revo

I used to put a plane in every year when it was a competition. Even won a 1st place in '98, 2nd in '99 Then, they dropped the "competition" because of complaints that the same guys always won. Hey, maybe that's because they can build

After that, the display started to die a slow death, this year as others have said , I think I counted 6 planes on display.

With no prizes up, there's no fun and no interest.

From reading the previous posts it would seem that the main complaint is that there were no "Deals". That is not my priority. I can walk around a hobby store or Toys "R" us any time. I do not need to drive to Toronto and pay to get in. I look for information. I look for what is available. I look for what is new in aircraft and associated equipment. The show was just a glorified toy store. My Grandson enjoyed it, and that is just about the level the show reached.
