Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg used to manufacture Edo floats under licence from Edo. The plant is now owned by Magellan Aerospace, try contacting the public relations office.

I contacted Bristol Aerospace in Canada. They once made Edo's. I made a polite offer to buy said drawings a while ago now. No reply.

A little late maybe but I found this, while poking around the net.

http://www.fly-imaa.org/imaa/IMAAads...pinoplans.html

About 1/2 way down the page are 1/4 and 1/5 scale EDO plans.

Thanks, I'll inquire as to the EDO models they have. Likely Cub but then again it doesn't say. Funny thing is I was on that page today but with a different mission and went right by them. Many Thanks, Bill

I recently bought plans for the Jim Pepino 1/4 scale floats. As you suspected, they are the EDO 92-1400 round top floats for the Piper Cubs.
Attached are some photos of the plan.

Great Edo's

Hey Gary,

Thanks for the pics of the floats that Chris had also mentioned. I had a set of Balsa USA plans for 1/4 scale Edo's around but cannot find them now.

I like the simple, yet scale design of the Pepino. $10 US is a deal also. I was going to replace the BUSA's for $18 which is still resonable but they employ brackets and stock that make a nice kit but don't simplify building from scratch. I just won a new set of Sid Morgan's 1/4 scale Cub plans on Ebay and will likely put that on floats. I have the BUSA 1/4 L4 Cub plans but couldn't find that an L4 on floats ever existed anywhere. I thought it would look cool on floats in olive drab with invasion stripes.

Although I have unearthed the resources to allow me draw a set of 38-3430's in 1/4 I'm not feeling that ambitious right now and may just build the Waco on wheels after all as I have the wheel pants.

Thanks for the help, Bill
