I assume many of you are IMAC members. I don't know anything about this but I would like to know why and what it means to be a member. Also what does it cost? I need allot of help in this area.

Well for me it's mainly about be included in the regional points standings. I just like to see my name on a list, whether it's at the bottom or top doesn't matter. For $20 it's no biggie.

I would feel guilty using the sequences and participating in IMAC having not contributed to the cause. I am surprised it is not a requirement in order to compete (proof as IMAC member). One could argue that it possibly gets more people to give it a try.

They say trees are 90% air. Personally I think they are 100% tree.

An IMAC membership is not a requirement in the US to fly in any of their contests, although some US contests do offer a slight discount in their entry fee if you are a member.

Membership is not a requirement here in Canada either, and should remain that way. Its a matter of choice.

IMAC is really an extension of the AMA, rather than being a true "International" organization as the name implies. With the exception of Canada [where there are approx 60 members] there are a limited number of other countries, that have less than a handful of members. Most countries which are active in SA, have their own Scale Aerobatics organization to support.
