Wow! this stuff is easy to use.
I used Alum Foil tape made by "Duck tape" I bought a roll of this stuff at my local "Canadian Tire"
Before you pull the paper off the back of the tape take hard point from a fine ball point pen and draw all the pannel lines, rivets , louvers, circles etc. I used the TF scale plastic template for this. The template comes with a bunch of different scales of rivits holes etc. I then cut out the panels with sissors and finally stuck then in place. Note the tape side is extremly sticky and you only get 1 chance to get it in place.
The stuff is a bit heavy so I wouldn't use much of this stuff - But for the odd engine panel or cockpit area its great.

I used this tape on some storage boxes for art and found that it leaves black marks on the wall where the box was.
This indicates that it isn't coated and might tarnish/become dull with time.
You might want to give it a coat of clear plastic spray to keep it shiny.
