We have most of the major brand large gas engines at our club. The DA's are definately flip-and-fly motors. The 3W's take a while to get right and are general more finicky. The rear intake 3W 150's run smoother than the bottom carb 3W 150's. I haven't seen the ZDZ 160 run but the ZDZ 120's and 50's run well. The other thing to consider is how many fliers in your area are flying a particular brand. I would go with what most are flying so you can share spair parts if you get into trouble. All brands seem to have ignition problems from time to time. Getting motors in and out of the US for repair is a pain (and expensive).

I hope all of you enjoyed flying this year. Did not get much model flying in but put over 100 hours on "full sized" AC.

Well, as good as the DA is, have a look at this one, the EVO (not evolution) 150. It also comes with exhaust header flanges , header pipe and also a free set of standoffs to your specs.

By the way, the header pipe does not solder or weld to the flange, it is a novel and very effective way of connecting with no leak.

That Evo looks great.

I like the exhaust flanges.

Very neat.
