I am looking at getting a cc25 or the new thunderbird 25. Has any one tried one of these new simplier controllers. I have a cc 10 and has worked for me real good.

I have 2 CC25's - they work great and are easy to program for all the variables you may need.

I know this post is a bit old but I thought I would throw my 2 cents worth in. I have been running a cc pheonix-25 for a while now on a GP FlatOut extra 300s. The first one I got didnt work when I got it home, but I took it back to the hobby shop and they exchanged it no questions asked. After that I have had no problems at all with it! I would not hesitate to buy another one, I really like the one I have. I am sure my faulty one was just a freak situation. The one thats on my airplane now is great.

I use CC ESCs exclusively on my Trex helis and have nothing but excellent results.

Some other Trex pilots have noted overheating (to the point of components desoldering in a few extreme cases), poor governor performance (tail wagging - not gain related). The also have complained that the frequent firmware updates point to an immature design.

Personally, my ESC runs cool (~45C), I use governor mode and have no tail wag, and I find the ease of firmware updates an advantage. I haven't has to use their customer support yet, but I understand that it is superb.
