Looking for any links or suggestions for information on electric flight.
Thinking I would like to try one of the flat foam flyers 10 to 20oz. But with all the selection not sure which way to go, brushless 2cell or 3cell, type of speed contol can a brushless controller work with a brushed motor, how to rate motor size, prop variations etc etc etc.
Can any one suggest a book or web site that covers all the basic's in getting started.

Any help would be apprciated.

go brushless for sure

years ago the controllers were pricy but now i believe they are even cheaper

3 cells for 3D and 2 cells for slow flyers is about the norm.

if i were you i would buy the following

-castle creations thunderbird 9 amp esc 40 bucks
-berg 4 ch reciever 40 bucks
-3 cell 350 mah or 830 mah apogee li-po`s
-hitec hs 55 servos 16 bucks each
-anyone of the multi colored shockies

all of these can be found here

as for the motor ,,i build my own from the go-brushless kits also found at zebra so you might want to look into an axi [im noy sure what numbers there using these days so i cant comment

-however ,if you still want to save even more money ,i can sell you a wound kit motor for 40 bucks cdn [i have around 5 motors that i will sell for my cost only]

hope this helps
theres no place,like cloud base!
