@ Hobby wholesale, the elite is $180 and the Triton is $160. I went with the Elite because it came with a power supply (Triton didn't) and it had 2 charges at once which was more convenient for me personally.

At my LHS we discussed what differences I would see and the elite, met my needs perfectly.

Steve, you haven't mentionned the kind of batteries you need to be able to charge. If it's smaller packs, then there are lots of choice, but if large electric is in your future then your choices become more limited. It is generally more cost effective to buy for all your possible needs once instead of upgrading later, but it can be advantageous to have more than one charger.

I use 3S lipo for my motors and small NiMH for my flight packs. Large lipo electric is in my future (10 cell lipo) and so I have a Schulze 6-330d (Not the easiest to use, but good value for larger packs). I also have an Apache 5200 (nice, reliable, small, simple 3-4S Lipo charger) and a Quick Field Charger MKII. They all come in handy for different things.

My vote is for the Elite, got one a month ago, for 189.00 at Hobby Hobby, does Lipos, NIMH, NICAD. Comes with a power supply and easy to use.

I chose it over the triton because I can charge two packs at the same time, they can also be different packs, the triton only charges one pack at a time.

Good Luck...
