I bought this from Hobby World here in Saskatoon. It was about 95% framed up by a local builder. It's all balsa and I covered it in Royal Blue and White MonoKote.
The engine was a tough fit into the cowl so I made a custom exexhuastxextensiono get the muffler out of the cowl. An in-cowl muffler would fifit niceo replace the stock one. The engine is an O.S. .46 AX that was brand new for the plane. The engine got 2 tanks break-in on the bench and has had 2 test flights in the plane. It's ououtfittedith a 10 oz Sullivan tank and a Remote Glow plug.
The pics don't show it but there is also 2 wing struts included. The wing is a 1 piece with custom hidden hatches for dual aileron servos.
The plane flew flawlessly for it's 2 test flights. Absolutely never been crashed. I just have too many other projects on the go to keep it. I couldn't find plans for an Aeronaaeronca this size anywhere so I had to custom made alot of the finishing stuff.
The windshield was hand formed with a heat gun and alot of patience so it's not the prettiest but it worked at the time. I believe the Piper Cub windshield would be a perfect fit if you choose to replace it. Also only one of the wheel struts is covered in monoKote but I will include extra covering to finish it.
So included is:
- The plane, of course 65" span, 42" length
- Extra pieces of MonoKote to touch up some details
- New O.S. .46 AX with 4 tanks run though it and muffler
- Remote glow plug
- Battery switch
- 3" Robart Scale Wheels and tires
- Dubro Tail Wheel
- 3 blade 10X8 Prop
This will probably have to be local pick-up. With the wings being one piece and the tail fins glued in place, I would have to ship in 2 boxes unless it went by bus. So Canada Post will take it in 2 boxes but combined shipping is $71 by Regular Parcel.
UPDATE: Ok, Purolator days they can take it in Canada for $38 via ground which takes 3 days. So that's a little better.
So if you live close by, I could drive an hour to meet you. Or if you live right in Saskatoon, feel free to come check it out. I'll need paypal payment before driving out of town to meet someone though. I can't drive an hour for someone to look at it. Local inquires can be a cash deal or Paypal.
I'm not to sure what to ask for this so I'll go $130 Canadian without engine and $200 with. That's only an extra $70 for the engine and I just paid $199 for it. I am open to trades or partial trades with anyone local as well. Mostly Glow/Electric Heli and Airplane stuff and Nitro/Electric Truck goodies.

I'm glad to hear that bud. When I took it home and couldn't find plans anywhere, I thought I must have something unique. I found small plans and 1/4 scale plans but nothing in this size so I think it must have been scratch built or from a set of plans that don't exist anymore.
All the balsa is like new in case anyone was wondering. It wasn't built like 20 years ago. I think I was told about 3 or 4 years ago.
I didn't really want to sell it but I have so much other stuff on the go, she's getting neglected just sitting in storage.
