my intention wasnt to highjack the thread..having said that there would appear that not everything has had possative service from them, its only fair to see both sides.

if they have to eat a few bucks to keep a customer them thats what they should do. the attidiude i got was i was wrong and they did nothing wrong. NOT good. for that bad service i will not ever buy from them because of that one service rep.she may of may not be the norm for that company but i am not willing to give them a chance to do it again. good customer service does not travel as fast as bad.
my 2 cents worth

Why ???

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you will have to catch up.

there seems to be a Great Hobbies thread every few months...

Having been a long time customer (since '97?) I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Are they perfect? Nope. But no one company is. Are they an excellent place to spend your RC dollars? In my opinion having dealt with quite a few mail order shops... one of the best! My personal favorite.

Plain and simple - they wouldnt have lasted this long and grew to such a large and successfull business without having good customer service, good shipping, good phone staff, good pricing and good product. No one will make a successfull business.

if its got a wing or two and an engine - I like it!

I had a good experience with Great Hobbies, I ordered the engine for my LT-40 and some accessories from them. Some things were out of stock, and they promptly contacted me. They offered to send the engine, and then the other items when they came back in stock... there would be no shipping charges for the latter items. I just told them to send it all at once.

I have also used, and I prefer them because thier shipments arrive in about 2 days vs over a week from Great Hobbies. My only complaint with Hobbywholesale is thier lack of pictures and other info on thier website. I go to to view pictures, and see the "recommended accessories" or "additional requirements" etc associated with the product I'm interested in.
