I have not heard of one person who is dissatisfied with a brison...
Who owns one that is...
I would love to run a DA 50 against my 3.2 to see what/if there is a difference.
I am sure both are just fine engines!

You are probably right.. and each have there specific application. The Brisson may be fine for a Warbird or other giant scale type aircraft but as I stated above, run a poll of IMAC or Scale Aerobatic competitive fliers and you'll find DA's in more airframes then Brissons.
The DA service issues have been blown out of proportion but DA stepped up and upgraded any one of their engines sent to them, even if there wasn't a problem. Great customer service.
What's wrong with their carbs? One of the easiest starting engines around.
As for YNC's comments apparently he is the only expert allowed an opinion. Oakman40 is looking for a DA, plain and simple.
Manny... why do I see DA Decals all over your airplanes if they are "the bottom of the pak"?
Oakman... nice looking airplane, I've seen it fly.. good luck with your search for your engine.
