so cheap?

I didn't want to post while some people are selling theirs but it seems that compared to other similar-sized engines, webra's are usually sold for a lot less and I'm curious.

I've read good reviews about them so quality doesn't seem to be an issue. Is it because they are hard to get parts for? I dunno.

I guess this engines are not very common in Northamerica. I fly Webras now atleast 30 years and I have had never a big problem with them. But they have not very much different engines now. The Webra 160 is the biggest one and that's all. And when you buy them new their are not even cheap. So when you need more power you have to buy an other brand. Parts are not a problem you can get them directly from Austria or a dealer ( in my case I get my parts from germany or I buy used engines ). I mostly use the .61 ones and their are very reliable.

Most European engines built for low or no nitro ABC non ring engine. Nitro in Europe is pretty expensive as compared to our North American counterpart. Thus they manufacture engine runs on low or no nitro FAI fuels. Their power bands are quite comparable to their high nitro engines counterpart. As far as for the price, they are all depends on what type of engine and the application, can be vary. Another interesting feature that usually boost their engine power is tune pipe. You'll find most of them using tune pipes to enhance the engine power.
