building my spad3Dt (question)

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!

i am in the process of building one of these. Thought i'd start this thread to get a few tips. I'm done cutting all the stuff.

Can i use TWO 36" 5/32 music wires in the wing(one before the ailerons and one just before the aluminum tube goes under the wing)?
the the 18" music wire before the aluminum tube goes under the wing and a standard 36"at the ailerons.

I think it'll make it a little heavier, but structurally more strong.
whats ur opinion?

PS: plans can be found at -> free plans -> 3D and Novelty -> Spad3DT

Works fine with the 18" piece no need for more strength there ......

At least mine works good !

spad 3dt

I put carbon fibre rod in the trailing edge on mine. I used the steel going through the middle of the wing. I think it is important to go though the fuse with this rod. It pins the wing to the fuse. There is a thread started here on the spad 3dt I started a while ago. search it and you will find it.
