Vailly Hurricane

Why do builders cover the wings of the Vailly Hurricane with cloth and resin rathter than Super Coverite as is done with the fuse. I realize that Roy V. did it that way. The coverite goes on much easier than the glass and when primed gives the same effect as as far as a metal like look. Is there a weight differance of any signifigance?

Hello John I see you are on with us got pat going as well as some of the other guys its a great sight with alot of ideas out there.Heard the Hurricane is going well as was talking with pat on the weekend.Can't wait to see it finnished as you are a very good builder and are good at the fine detail that a plane of that size would take.If you can post some photos for all to see.John
