Jet friendly RC fields across Canada

Good day all

I am trying to compile a list of jet friendly RC clubs across Canada to be posted on my website as a resource to jet modellers. The reason behind this is to give modellers access to information on where they can fly their turbine or ducted fan powered jets. If your club has a web page all the better, otherwise the name, address and contact information are helpful. Details like grass or tarmac, length of field etc. are also helpful.

Thanks in advance

K, I know of the ideal place in northern BC, but as far as MAAC is concerned, are there any special considerations that need to be addressed? It's a municipal runway, out in the boonies. 1.5 miles of pavement. The guys host a funfly every year, and I'll ask them about allowing jets. Just wondering if there is anything special to worry about. Is there a site I can go to and read what is considered a "jet-safe" field.

Hi Peter,
Anyone coming through Winnipeg can give me a call and I can direct them to the local 350'x30' asphalt at the WRCC.

So far the club has not expressed any negative comments about turbines. The overshoots are equal making the field a total of 625 end to end. The city-owned farming fields surrounding the flyable area are obstruction free nearly as far as anyone can see a large jet! The run offs are good for an additional 30 feet or so, yielding just over 400 ground run if required.

Thanks Len. Will start compiling a list.
Thanks Sammy, yes I am aware of the Edenvale and I have flown there, they will be on the list as well.

There is Leamington, Picton, and there is a club in Burlington or hamilton, not sure. Georgetown club allows jets but only small ones since the field is very small. I have flown the AV8R there.

Looking forward to hearing more feedback from Quebec, the Maritimes, as well as the West. Surely, there must be plenty of clubs out there flying jets or at least allowing jets.

Moosejaw and Bonneyville have incredible fields

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you will have to catch up.
