Air Cadet Demo

GMAC did a indoor display of RC electric aircraft to 650 Governor General Vanier Air Cadet SQN here in Moncton the other evening. The kids were very appreciative and asked tons of questions. We also had lots of fun giving the kids a show.

Check out the pictures:

Go find the local Air Cadet Sqn and give it a try , you never know you might have fun.

Yup - everyone had a lot of fun. The kids were great and showed lots of interest. Shawn even let the Cadets fly his IFO - it's a tough, slow flyer and the Cadets really had fun.

In retrospect, I wish I had brought the laptop with G3 - it would have been a great way to let them all have a try at controlling an RC aircraft. If we go back and work with them or do a similar event in the future, I'll definitely bring it along.

As a bonus, our regular Sunday indoor event was cancelled due to the weather and this Cadet demo on the following day helped us get our flying fix.

We had enough members to provide good safety, discuss the aircraft statically and fly too. Excellent turnout from our club.
