I met up with him at the club field this winter, but he didn't have a plane with him.

Hopefully most will see through the political fighting that always seems to overrule the reason for us having a central comradership that can work in harmony and better the sport.
The art is to stay down the middle and have a good balance between the personal goings on of a club and still remain loyal to the international association.
I hope that the new Zone director, whoever it may be, will see that there is this balance that must be maintained and NOT create this separation between clubs and MAAC that seems to always take over when stuff like this happens....and certainly avoid personal agendas....that is political suicide as we have all found out. With the new strong board, this will simply not work....period!!
This whole fiasco has been building up for a long time and there is no surprise that this is the result. As for the comment that the person has to have thick skin is irrevelant...as, if there is harmony amongst the Board and the membership, the path should be very simply easy for all to deal with and understand....thus avoiding the "thick skin"

Hmmmm sounds like someone who would make an excellent Zone Director!
I would of agreed with you under any other circumstances scaleguy but I think that now is the time to have a new ZD that is not going to be viewed as "INVOLVED". Ron is a great guy, however having a ZD in our club at this time may not be the best for moving forward and getting back on track with the hobby. I think we need a ZD that EVERYONE can trust.
POLITICS???? YIKES!!! Thanks, but no thanks right now. I wouldnt know "constitution" from "constipation"...( that's a big load)....but will go a long way to support someone who can show some good leadership right now... and get the Southwest Zone back on track....too much at stake.... and John is right...we dont need any more controversy in our club right now.

P.S. John... that was funny!!! Trust me!!!
