I have a question for all. I am looking to buy some glow plugs. I have used OS #8's and they work well but at $8 a peice they are pricy. I have seen A3's for ess Any suggestion as to the A3s for use in .40-.60 sized glow engines 10% nitro

As always you generally get what you pay for. I have not had much luck with cheap plugs over the years.
I'm now using enya #3 which is a hot plug such as the os #8. I run only 5% the reason for the hotter plug. Last one i bought was 2 years ago and it was $12.99 at local hobby shop.
I have a couple with over 100 flights on them. One in a gms 47 the other in k&B 61 with a pipe.
I'm becoming convinced that the expensive high quality is a whole lot cheaper in the long run.

in my opinion, having actually used many OS #8's (they are my favourite plug) and also I still buy many A3's for testing purposes and I use them in lower perfomance engines - the main difference is longevity.

Run an average glow engine anywhere from a .15 to a 1.50 with an OS and an A3 and you will get pretty much the identical performance figures (idle rpm, top rpm, accel and deaccel performance, ect) however the #8 will outlast the A3 every time.

In some of my high performance piped engines the #8 is the ONLY plug that will last numerous flights.

Cheaper plugs are false ecomony. One $8 #8 will outlast several cheaper plugs costing $4 or $5.
