After rereading my post I realized it could have come off as a little smart ass like, but I meant it in a more sarcastic tone. Hope you took it that way. Hard to relay tone through type.

Yes, I am using the large stock muffler. It looks like the one supplied with the Tower and GMS, Vmax, etc engines. Decent muffling and you can remove the baffle if you want more power.

For my .47's I am going with Bisson Pitts mufflers.

Jen .56

I removed the OS 46FX and weighed it: 430 gm. on a kitchen scale.

Paul, from Just Engines, says the JEN .56 with super quiet muffler weighs 480 gm. (ABC & Ringed weight the same).

The JEN .56 therefore weighs 50 gm more than the OS .46 = 1.76 oz.

I ordered the "Ringed" model today. Should get it in a week or two. So the Nexstar on floats will get an additional 1.76 oz nose weight (which should be about right along with the heavy hub I've got) and it will go from a "hot" .46 to a "hot" .56 which should give me just that little extra power boost.

Best of all -- I don't have to change engine mounts!

I ordered the "ringed" version because the web site says it has a little more bottom end torque than the ABC version.

I'll post a picture when I get it.

Thanks to all who passed on advice!
