My build up story about a SPAD

Once I discover this wonderful world of plastic airplanes I was hooked.
So here it is, My Canadian BUHOR with dihedral wings.
I thought the idea was simple enough and it look easy to do. But to my amazement some parts where not easy to find.
The instructions calls for 1/16 thick L shape aluminium, well, it wasnít easy to find at first. Home depot and Rona donít carry that size anymore. So I finally remember where I have bought aluminium before and found it with no problem (Metal supermarkets)
The next step was the Coroplast, easier said than done. 2mm is almost impossible to find on hand. You have to special order it.
But at least Rona has it, 4mm, but the colour selection is very limited.
The part that I though would not be an issue, it was, finding a yard or meter stick made out of wood. Sure, Home depot, Rona, Canadian tire all have aluminium, but not wood. Finally found some at staples and as soon as I found them, I bought a whole bunch.
My idea is to build 2 planes and 3 wings. 2 with dihedral and one with out.
For the engine mount I did find that cutting board at Canadian tire, but I think Iím going to make my own custom setup.
So here it is. Iím a total newbie to R/C flying and I canít wait to learn and at least now I have a selection of planes to learn with.
Iím also rebuilding a Kadet MKII and I have a Nexstar, but that one is going to get the 6 servo setup for future flying once I learn how to.
So far I have a radio with all the servos needed and I got a 46AX, but Iím going to use a 40 K&B for it.
One plane will almost be just like the instructions call for and the other, Iíll try my own thing in a few little things.
Will update this post with pictures and such in the near future.

Perhaps I can help.
In order to get wooden yard(meter) sticks from Home Depot, you have to go to the paint department. No other department at Home Depot seems to know this.
Best source I found for cutting boards is WallMart.
Unfortunately, I have never found a source for 2mm coroplast yet without ordering it.
Hope the above helps.

Thanks for the FYI
I'll check there next time for sure.
As for the cutting board, I found the poly stuff at Crappy tire. I try to avoid wallmart, but some times I guess you just have to find stuff there.
I finally did some cuts of the Alum. I just have to make sure they are straight and then clean them up for some paint.
