I sure do need them. What if I'm in my basement workshop charging a pack and it starts to go? Then what? There's no way I can get it outside once it starts, and your typical fire extinguisher isn't going to help stop it.

I keep an eye on them, but also realize that once a pack starts to go it's violent and way hotter than I ever imagined. I've had a pack light up and it's pretty spectacular, I'll use the ammo box. My house, my mortgage, my insurance, my family, you do what you like.

Regards
Dan

heli3dflyr IF i can make one sudjestion to you it would be to move the Gy 401 you have underneath the boom insted of on top. if you have a crash not saying to will but you know how things go. The fly bar and paddels could come in contact with the gyro and then you have just lost the best T-rex gyro. Its up to you but i have seen pictures of 401 destroyed from it . Rob

The other thing you could do that I saw is the front right servo (looking from the tail) your Link between the servo and the swash is on a angle. can you switch the servo so the link run vertical ? and i have found mounting the servos from the inside of the frame also make the link straighter. Just some sujestion from me experience trying to get thing perfect.
