It is the same size as a Raptor "Titan" it has the titan boom etc on it, you can run up to 620mm main blades.

Does this thing cost about the same as a Trex SE to get in the air?

The power system will cost several times more than a Trex. 10S packs (~$500 each), HV ESC (~$350), motor (~$350), special charger (~$300), etc. OIC can fill you in. Big bucks. It's serious kit.

The more modest setup would be one of the more recent 6S ships: 600 (e.g. Trex 600) or 550 (e.g. Hurricane 550), but they won't perform like the 8S or 10S setups. Give it time, costs are coming down and performance is going up.

That setup must really rock OIC!

I am planning for the future - I love my SE and the stability is great, but I can't help but wonder how much better these larger e-helis must be to fly.

I figure after another year at the 400 size it will be time to get something bigger, but I am an e-heli junkie - I like fiddling with electronics so I hoep the batts continue to drop to somethig comparable to what a 400 size needs.

Great looking heli though - and awesome field to fly in! I need to buy a place in the countryside
