I used to fly a duraplane way back when and I found that thing was a pig, the problem with a plane that is built for crashing is that it does not fly very well.
You should check the buy/sell for someone selling a 40size trainer like a nexstar or eagle etc they are built to fly.
You can always keep the duracraft for backup if needed, all your electronics and motor will transfer to the lighter better flying trainer aswell.
You will find it much easier to fly and it wont feel like you are dragging a dead cow around in the air.
