If FS1 is crashing your computer try changing the sound settings per http://www.inertiasoft.com/fsonefaq/#Q1014-FS1. Reducing the sound acceleration stooped the crashing on my computer. Although initially frustrating it had a good ending - a fancy new sound card replacing the on-board one.

I've got G2 and FS1. FS1 is has vastly superior realism in any sort of 3D situation (ailerons work in hover etc.). Some of the airplanes can use a bit of tuning - compared to my real life Funtana 40 the stock sim version tip stalls, hovers, and knife edges more poorly. Help for adjusting parameters isn't always obvious.

I think the G2 controller is better (works fine with FS1). The FS1 controller doesn't have enough 'bite' on the stick ends for my thumbs (fixed with a triangular file ) and the stick length isn't adjustable.

Hi, ninelaps.

That's an interesting idea.

Microsift says that it's the acceleration for the video card. Horizon syas it's probably the video card. And remember video card is of higher grade than optimum recommended.

Cannot run the blasted thing when the acceleration for the video card is turned down as Microsoft suggests.

So maybe they are both wrong and you are actually right. Wouldn't be the first time. So I'll give your suggestion a try. Nothing to lose.
