Custom NiCad or NiMh Battery Packs where to get?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I am looking for a store (online?) that will do custom battery packs. It seems that all my planes need new packs and my LHS has run out of batteries as they usally make the packs for me (and it will be 3-4 weeks before they get any more stock. I guess I could just order all the batteries that I need and make my own but I am too lazy for that.

Any help and Internet links would be appreciated.

These are, by far, the best made packs I've found, and are very reasonably priced.

Look for packs with low impedance... they give up current easier and are more durable. They use Sanyo cells, which are the only cells I recommend. The have a great welder that makes super strong packs (at least 12 welds per strap), and he uses nice silicone RTV, strain relieves everything, and will wire them any way you want.

I second nobs batteries. Amazing packs.
If it has wings, rotors or two wheels, I'm interested!

Custom Battery packs

Hi Rubbie:

I see you're from the Toronto area.

You might want to check out John Shoreman at

BBM Battery Specialists

Mississauga, Ontario

PS. - I don't have any interest in this company, just shopped there once. They do good work.
