Hi; looking for a 40 to 60 size floatplane "plane only" cash or have lots of broken stuff to trade,ha ha. Question? is water softer than dirt or runway??thanks;

to answer u, i think it kind of depends on what angle and speed u hit the water. But with water u cud always wet ur electronics and engine if u crash. Of what i've heard, flying off water needs a more powerful engine too.

Answer: No, water is not softer than dirt. You can easily do more and more severe damage hitting water.
