Excellent newer Hobby Shop in Chesley Ont, Bruce County

After attending the well organized Fun Fly at Hanover's beautiful field today we visited a Hobby Shop on the north outskirts of Chesley on Road 10. 1929 Bruce County Road #10 to be exact. The small sign out front simply says Hobby Shop. Each time I have been there in the past year I observed real improvements.

Other than organizing the layout and having a well thought out selection of day to day products for glow flyers as well as several ARF's by Seagull and others "I was refreshed by the pricing". Everything was maybe 2 or 3 percent more than Great Hobbies with the exception of the items like ST engines, glow plugs and others that were much less than GH. GH has great prices so a fledgling retailer who is competitive with them deserves patronage.

Being an LHS this is really only relevant to the area surrounding Chesley which is quite large if you are looking for a jug of fuel in this geographic region. I don't know the name of anyone associated with the business so this post is not a favour for a friend, rather for modellers in this area. As this business also has a gas bar and equipment repair bays in the back the Hobby aspect is an interest to the owner who does not have to feed the flock from the sales of Hobby supplies, hence the most reasonable prices, in my opinion. I dropped some good coin on real good value items and will go back every time I am in the area. They order what they can for you if they do not have in stock. It was a treat not to get gouged. I wish them well. They also have produts for model railroad, plastic, diecast and general crafts but RC aircraft is th main focus. Real good folks and genuinely interested in your satisfaction.

Hobby shop

I have been into his shop several times. He is always willing to get whatever you need and in most cases is at or below the cost of GH or Hobby wholesale. He is getting better at ordering and not getting ripped off on shipping (UPS) and brokerages were killing him. I would suggest anyone and everyne in the area to buy as much stuff as you need from this guy and help him expand and stay in the business. Its alot closer to go there to get fuel etc. then have to got to kitchener or burlington.
