Well finally got the new Red Bull Edge in the air, and it was AWESOME
It was scratch built from dimensions off of the Lanier 30% Edge but modified with a little bigger wing, elevator counterbalances and a whole lot of lightening holes. Finished weight ready to fly is 25 1/2 pounds, and with my new ZDZ 100NG she goes ballistic

I was of course a bit nervous, but she tracked true and only needed 2 clicks of down to fly hands off, and the landings were a sight to behold as she floated in stable as a rock, but not as heavy

Vitals are;
Smart fly Super reg and Expander (terrific devices), 2 2800 LiIon TBM batteries and one 5 cell NiMh for ignition. Servos are a single 5995TG Hitec on rudder, dual 5645's on ailerons, 2 5945's on elevators, and a futaba 9303 on throttle and hitec 225mg on choke.
Mufflers are custom Bisson Units.
The cowl was the worst part...a H9 Edge cowl split in 4 and modified to a two piece unit so I can work on the engine without removing the prop (a god saver!). I spent probably as much time on this with it's flame job than I did on the foam wings

See you in Hamilton

Nice edge Lee.

It will be a sight to see in hamilton for sure. I wish I had the know how to build something like that. I just have a small foamy edge done up in that scheme.

Great job on building that Edge. 25.5 lbs is a very good weight for a 100cc engine. Uplines shouldn't be a problem! While i really don't like Edge's per say, you made this one look great! Love the flames.
