Jet fuel for gas engine?

Hello all, friend of mine quitted flying his turbine jets and gave me his outfits - including a 25-gallon jug of jet fuel, and a life-time supply of jet oil mix - indeed, two full cases. I think the jet fuel is parafin, or white kerosene?

That being said, after couple of runs in the backyard and got all the neighbours coming over to see what is going on, it got pretty boring, and that's all the turbine experience for me for now.

Question, with still 25 gallons of jet fuel in the garden shed, it would be ashame to just letting it sat and turns into fume and evaporate over times. Can I use it to fuel my gas engine, I know the turbine turns at a scary high revs, and the oil mix seems to do a good job lubricating the bearings and moving parts, will it damage the gas engine if I use the jet fuel but mix it with 2-strok engine oil, to the ratio of say 40 to 1?

Your thoughts please.

Sorry, can't use it in a gas engine. Kerosine is closer to diesel fuel than gasoline.

Post in the jets section, maybe a jet jock in your area will take it off your hands...

Yeah sell the fuel and the engine if you don't want it but keep it far, far away from any gas engine... won't work.

Alex, Advertise here and on RCGroups. Don't expect to get full retail price for it.

Another alternate way of getting rid of it would be to advertise each item on eBay.

You can safely dispose of the kerosene by adding a few gallons at a time to a diesel automotive engine tank. Or get an Aladdin brand lamp and have a beautiful alternative to 110VAC
