And It Flys!

Today I had the 1st flight of my latest project. It is a 70" Twin. My own design based losely on a Tiger 2 outline. Thanks to a long weekend I started covering it Saturday morning and gave it the final touches today as it charged. It has 2 Thunder Tiger 46's, B&D Pneumatic Retracts, 2 S3003's on ailerons, rear mounted S3003 on the elevator, 605bb on the pushpull rudder to be replaced with S9405. Each engine nacelle has an 8oz tank and s3003 on throttle. The nose cone detaches just ahead of the canopy giving acess to the air tank, retract servo, air valve and front gear mount. The wing has 0 dihedral, 0 washout, constant cord and NACA 0014 airfoil. Rtf weight of arround 9lbs. Maiden flight started very interesting, any throttle setting above 45% and the plane would yaw severly, wag the tail and act as though the left engine had died. It made for a very interesting take off and climb out on my 1st R/C twin. It flew fine at lower throttle settings and still had tons of power on the 10x6's to complete a flight. Ground testing showed a bad rudder servo that would start to show EMI arround 50% throttle and failed compeletly within 1 tank of ground testing after flight.
