ASP 91 4 stroke runs rough/bearings ?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I just bought a used ASP 91 four stroke engine and was told by the seller that it last ran/sounded rough possibly due to a worn out bearing. Any one experienced similar snag ? or can suggest/guide on changing the bearings ? I managed to get the internal exploded parts schematic from the net but unsure if I should toy with the idea of disassembling the engine for possible repair/overhaul without expert help. Look forward to any comments/suggestions/recommendations from an engine specialist.

Post the web site address that will show the exploded drawing. Then I can offer advice on how to replace bearings.

Bearings can feel rough if caked with old oil. Mount a prop and see if you can wiggle the crankshat by wiggling the prop back and forth. If not try flushing with fuel or methonol, letting it soak awhile.
