Excellent video.

It may not be Canada's war, but it disgusts me to hear some of the things people say about our military.

Our war or not, we need to stand behind our troops, and never forget all the crap they have to put up with over there in the name of our country, and all that they sacrifice to do so.

Thanks for sharing!

The "grunts" in the service get the short end of the stick from every side -- they get complained about in peacetime as being too expensive and the forces are scrambling around to find anything to do, they get complained about when they find stuff to do (disasters, evacuations, etc.), they get complained about when we send them off to do what the were hired to do (make some other soul die for their country/faith/whatever...); the pay is lousy, on-base accomodations tend to predate Diefenbaker and even Mackenzie-King on some postings and off-base housing is priced to heck and gone relative to their actual pay.

Yep! I'm a Navy brat, proud to have gone through the experience of having a parent in the service, proud to have family members doing active service, and praying for all in combat and peace-keeping zones to come back home safely.

I don't blindly support the efforts of thier masters (politicians) but everyone in the military gets my full respect for the job that they have to do.

Very nice video. It made me cry.

It makes me proud to be a Canadian because it pains most of us when a Hero dies in service of his country

Byrocat, you said it well. All true. (Been there, done that, wore the t-shirt)

Excellent video. I saved me a copy.

I have a member of the primary reserves for over 25 years and proud of it . There are times when the world forgets what is at stake and what our soldiers sacrifice on a daily basis. I can not view the video as I am working(taking a break) on a DND computer but will view this eve at home. But I am sure it is well done. Keep the faith for all CANADIANS sake.
This is even more important to me now than ever, I just lost my good friend Sgt Craig Gillam in Afganistan. Don't let the soldiers lives that have been lost there be in vain.

If you don't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them.
