Is the TOC no more, and been replaced?

Next thing you know, people will be flying planes like helicopters, and you can buy airplanes that are ready to fly in minutes.
It gets worse, people will be using electricity

No pilot station.

Oh, and i forgot Randy,

during that 3 day week-end, there was no injuries, no problems, just 1 jet crash outside the runway. Not bad for 150 pilots meet.

Have a nice day

Doesn't matter if you agree that it's right or wrong or necessary or not, the instant you walk out from behind a pilot box, while flying, you have voided your and everyone elses insurance at the event if something were to happen.

Pilot skill is irrelevant. Have witnessed numerous Unlimited pilots have an incident. Don Lowe Masters and the Tuscon shootout both had crashes.
Safe to say these guys are at the top of their game but they are human.

They say trees are 90% air. Personally I think they are 100% tree.

So I guess all this explaining makes it okay eh? Why don't we get our insurers opinion about when and where we can vary. Perhaps MAAC should define whether these are safety guidelines, or safety rules. The insurers are ultimately the ones that will decide when a $50 battery pack fails. In the least, I think MAAC should get a written opinion from our insurance Broker if not our insurance carrier. I didn't realise you could see better and work your sticks better when you weren't behind a safety barrier, maybe that's why I can't fly TOC, I stay behind the barriers.

So at a Maac sanctioned field where no barriers are required you are saying there is no insurance?

raise your hand if you think the barriers will do anything anyways! i understand there use and why the insurance co. wants them but isnt the act of hovering a little crazy to begin with that close in

its the common sence or lack of,that we must pay close attention to while representing ALL our members threw the national mag

personally im just sick of seeing aircraft in unconventional order and i lost interest in the antics but thats just my 2 cents

OTOH the opposite page has some great wartime birds that are real nice

theres no place,like cloud base!
