Does anyone know if there are any kits or plans available for the Hawker Hurricane .I have seen the Brian Taylor plans and want something less complicated. Need some thing in the .40 to .90 class engines .

RCM plans had one back in the early 80's I believe. Nevertheless, it was still a long build. This is due to the fuselage structure mainly, but also
the wing .

I have the RCM plans and they are actually from the late 60's. Span is 70" and they really aren't that scale. The stab is way too big (as are most of the scale models of that era) and the fin/rudder is just weird, not the right shape at all. The wing, however, is very nice, but there is no provision for retracts. Installing them would require a lot of redesigning and hair pulling. I have the Taylor plans as well and they are far more accurate. Someday I'll tackle it, the Hurricane is my favorite warbird. A short kit, canopy and fibreglass parts are available from Holman which would make the project a lot less daunting.

Don't recall any kits. KMP has an ARF 120 sized though.

I think I know who you are Wiseguy, but I'm not sure. Talk to Art Songal. He's got a set of Brian Taylor plans (the ones Holman sells)

Jollydude is right about the short kit. I did that on my 2nd Typhoon. Made the build go much quicker, plus Holman provides a pretty nice product.

I had a very nice one-kit from Mick reeves in UK . is 80" span had a 90 2/s in it with retracts , about 12-13lbs . foam wings are covered already with Obechi wood , flew very well is fairly scale except the dihedral points are wrong , but that can be changed , no prob;
