Good deal! I got mine off kijiji as well and paid 200 for T-maxx and Jado with 2.4 Spectrums. People get them and don't understand what kind of work they are. Then we come along!!

Dude, Trust me when I say 'reconsider nitro' around $5000 later, my nitros collect dust and my brushless 4x4 lipo vehicles are running strong and are pure enjoyment. Faster too. May I ask what prompts you to want nitro? I have an OFNA 9.5 MBX with an O.S. VZ-B V-Spec - T2050 pipe and header Hitec MG-645 Servos never raced proffesionally run and broken in you can offer on. It's a shelf queen. The engine and pipe alone were over $500.... but as good a vehicle this is... My Slash Ultimate run on 2S 30C lipo is way more fun, and I can race indoor no prob. I admit nitro is psycho...but...maybe I've just lost patience.

Never had electric and dont have any experience so I could tell you what is better when your a newbie. Im also a newbie and started of with a Hpi RS4 on-road car then witched over to a Hpi Savage X.. Got another Savage on the way!

I think Nitro is the way to start. If you are serious about the hobby, Nitro will provide more enjoyment and knowledge. If you want a toy to play with and you don't want the hobby part of it, go electric. I will admit, there are Brushless Electrics out there that are really fast and do provide a bit of a hobby, but it's not a noisy, smoking, nitro engine!!! AAhhh Nitro!!

Running a hobby shop, I see a lot of people start with Nitro for the wrong reason, a fast, fun toy. They take home their New Nitro Buggy and put fuel in it and go for a rip down the street to show their friends how fast it can go, after I explained Egine Break-in to them. Then they come back the next day and say it is a piece of S**T because it won't run anymore. Now they have to replace an engine already and maybe some other parts. Now do you see where the idea "Expensive Hobby" comes from?

Go with whatever you feel most comfortable with, that way it is your choice and you can only blame yourself if it doesn't work out..LOL
