Rattle can paint source?

I need to paint my glow models only occasionally, or only in part.

I used rattle cans, and was a fan of the 21st Century product, which is now history.

Lusterkote is available, but raises havoc with canopies. The color choices there have dimished. Sig markets butyrate dope in spray cans, but that also eats canopies.

Down here in the states, there isn't anything besides Lusterkote and Sig Dope in spray cans that is fuelproof, to the best of my knowledge.

Does anyone know of spray can products aside from Lusterkote and Sig Dope, but fuel proof without a doubt, and without resorting to clear coating? I like to avoid the compatibility and yellowing issues.

Thanks.

Rustoleum works up to a certain percentage of nitro . It's cheap as well .

I have been using very cheap spray cans. When in Wallymart or other stores check the paint cans. Usually around 3.95 and if the label reads acetone or toulene on it you are away. If it mentions petroleum products or mineral spirits leave it on the shelf.
The old saying goes is to test it first on a piece of scrap. I let it harden for a couple of days to be sure but there is a lot on my plastics and my stand for starting.

I'll second Vulcan's Walmart tip. The paint you want is Colourplace Enamel. There's a little yellow label on the front of the can that says "contains urethane". Basic colours only but I have 10 of em' on my shelf.

What about Hanger 9 Ultracote paint?

You say Lustercote eas canopies? I haven' t seen it on canopies I have done. Perhaps a light grey primer first!

OOps, I missed the Ultrakote. Thanks for the tips.

What level of nitro can the walmart Coulorplace tolerate? I run 10 or 15%.

Am I the only one who liked 21st Century spray? I thought I remembered that the chemistry was unique and had its origins in the UK. I wonder if it's possible to import that sort of thing this day in age.

I run 15% also and have not tried it with 60% which I think may be a problem. I should have painted my Raven's glass cowl as I was not happy with the colour match. Instead of $10 I could have it done for $4.
Nice small airforce.
