Not sure if this is considered part of the GTA but Hobby Hobby in Streetsville is quite a large Hobby store and the prices are fairly reasonable!

If you want to go for a bit of a drive, Skycraft Hobbies in Burlington is really getting into the car stuff and have lots of stock items including a couple of the new Team Losi 8ight's, both kit and RTR and most of the other brand name quality cars/trucks/buggys! I was just there today and was surprised by what they have in stock!

And going north of you theres Ideal Hobbies in Barry! Not sure what he has for car inventory though!

Oh - and this is in the "Car Engines for Sale" forem: click on the link below.

I'm actually just NE of Toronto but voted Toronto as I spend way too much time at work in T.O.

Pinnacle in Markaham and and A&J in Unionville get my vote (and money).

+1 on Radio Controlled Sports in Woodbridge (Martingrove/hwy 7) area. Huge shop with LOTS of parts and vehicles in stock. www.rcsports.ca/

Ideal Hobbies in Barrie doesnt have alot of up to date car/truck parts in stock. The are more planes and helis.
