Clipped wing Cub

Love those Cubs had five of them mostly goldberg cubs. The clipped wing is my favorite because it is more airobatic and flies as well as the full wing model. The use of rudder on turns is necessary to make nice flat turns. Slow flights are more of a challenge to fly and to fly just about a stall is good stick practice and getting to know your airplane manners . Note: Fly high to try this. Cubs look good flying slow and are a relaxing plane to fly no bad habits like tip stalling.

Right on Dig It, everybody likes em.
I'm currently building my third 1/4 scale Cub....already have a J3 with wheels or skis for home and one for the cottage on floats but the in-laws farm in Nova Scotia desperately needs a Super Cub on tundra tires so my annual summer vacations are complete! Video clip is from late summer, Jon flying, Ralph driving, me filming.

Cassat, ya, the Hornet is coming along, slowly. I've been working too much. I'll probably be putting it on the back burner though, I have a Scorpion on the way. I think an easier to fly turbine trainer will be the way to go before I jump into the Hornet.

Hey Buddy, thats a Kadet not an Extra!!!

OK I gotta ask, Why does everyone build cubs? It has to be the most over done model in history. Piper built so many attractive airplanes why it everyone fixated on the ugly Cub? I'd take a Vagabond, Clipper, or Pacer over a Cub any day. And the prettiest of the bunch is the PA 12 Super Cruiser. But everyone has to build cookie cutter Cubs! I just don't get it. They all have the same Cub wing, they all must fly pretty much the same, and you all have to build the ugliest one of the family! Just once I'd like to go to the field or a float fly and see a PA 12,14,15, 16, and 20 wing tip to wing tip and no !#@%^$ CUBS!

Can't argue with your logic, now that I think of it, other peoples Cubs don't interest me in the least...unless Graham Mears made it!
