my neighbour was RCMP[ret'd] and told me... make sure you beat the crap out of the person who broke into your house, and when the police attend, tell them the guy fell down the stairs trying to escape, even if you don't have any stairs!!!
I pray I don't ever have to be in that position even though I have lots of stairs!
Cheers, Dave.

Sure looks state of the art. Reminds me of the old video game controllers from the 80s.

I get worried about thefts in the RC community these days. A lot of guys are now getting minivans and just leave all their equipment in them 24/7. That's what people should be more worried about than house break ins. Cars around here get broken into a lot.

As for catching someone in the act, you are allowed to use all necessary force to repel the attacker in self defense. However, if they get a sleezy enough lawyer, the line between necessary and excessive force is easily blurred. That's our justice system for you.

Just as a matter of interest, I was told by a cop a long time ago, that if you catch someone in the act, in your home, HIT HIM WITH SOMETHING HARD IN THE ARMS AND TRY TO BREAK THEM, but don't touch his legs. If and when he runs and calls a cop, you can say you have never seen this guy before, and there is nothing the cops will do about it........ Al
