I really hate to sell this one but it has been hanging from the ceiling for awhile and not getting any flight time thanks to my helicopters.
It is the Hanger 9 ARF P-40 Warhawk. The wing span is 64.9", 52" long with a wing area of 709 sq.in.. It weighs around 8 to 8.5 lbs. It has mechanical 90 degree rotating retracts.
The engine is an RCV 90SP. This is a geared down engine ( 2 to 1).This means it swings large propellers with high pitch ( 16x12 to 18x12 ) It is a very nice running engine that has had about 5 gallons of fuel through it.It is in excellent condition with excellent compression. It gets very good flight times on a tank of fuel. After all it is a four stroke.
The plane is ready to fly with 5 Hitec servos and a JR retract servo. The Hitec servos are all 425 ball bearing servos. There is also a Hitec Supreme 8 channel receiver ( for Futaba ) in the plane along with all the needed servo extensions as well as a switch and JR 600mah 4.8 volt battery. The plane has a remote glow on the side of the fuselage as well. There is even a very nicely painted pilot in the cockpit.
Included with it will be the original box for the RCV engine a spare APC propeller and a starter with the starter extension for starting the engine ( starter has been wired to run backwards ) . I should mention the engine has behind the prop starting or can be started like a normal engine.
The plane has a few dings and dents from use but has never been crashed. The hole on the cowl top is a little rough on the edges from the starter extension and the fuse top has a ding from the starter.
Besides setting the plane up with your transmitter it is ready to fly.It is a very nice flying plane with a light wing loading. It can be a little bit of a handfull on takeoff due to the lefthand torque of the geared RCV engine but with good rudder management it is no real problem. The light wing loading also helps as the plane does not require a long takeoff roll.
If this plane happens to look familiar it may be because it was in RC Canada magazine as a review. Yes this exact plane.
I am also willing to crate and ship it by Greyhound. The buyer will have to pay the shipping cost with insurance but I will split the crating cost with the buyer.
New everything is worth about $925 CDN. I am asking $450 firm for it.
I may also consider a trade for a electric helicopter ( T-Rex, MX400 ect ), glow helicopter mechanics with engine or other RC heli stuff.
**P-40 sold pending completion of trade**
