How to route H9 P-40 Warhawk exhaust?

I have a Hangar 9 P40 Warhawk with the Saito 100 that is recommended.
They do not show the muffler mounting in the manual or how it exits the cowling. I have looked up some build threads for help as an alternative. They suggest a Saito 90 degree adapter with a Saito flexible pipe instead of the standard muffler.
I've checked Great Hobbies and Hobby Wholesale and can only find the 90 degree adapter for the Saito 100.
I was wondering if anyone else encountered this problem, and if they found an alternate solution, other than the adapter and flexible pipe. My preference is not to cut the cowling unless absolutely necessary.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
