Welcome Marcus to the greatest hobby.
My advice to you would be to find an experienced builder in the local club and ask him for some help in building your eagle 2. You can learn a lot of building tricks from experienced builders, like which glue to use, how to cover, radio and engine installation and start up.
Good luck in your building.

I agree with DC's comment -- find an experienced member of the club to mentor you. If they are an instructor, so much the better.
This way, you'll pick up the tricks and tips that will help you build other aircraft that will fly safely without the usual mistakes that beginners can make (the infamous two right or left wing halves....)
Good choice on the kit. It's one that has very good instructions.
Also, welcome to the baord! Feel free to ask what you think is a dumb or stupid question. However, like anywhere, there are those who seem to delight in dealing with you at a less-than-friendly level.
Remember that most people in the hobby are going to be helpful, and learn to tell the difference. That's wehre the people in the club come in handiest -- the communication is face-to-face so you can tell when a comment is just joking.
You've got a full summer to finish the project and to get your wings. Don't try to rush things because this is the start of the summer and you want to get flying in the worst possible way. That's the shortest route to doing the ethnic-figure-9 and getting bummed out.
I went through five planes before I finally got my wings (almost got the perpetual student award too!) but that's not typical, as is the club member that got his wings less than a month from his first flight and the first flight was Jan 1.....
Getting your wings by mid-summer is feasible -- you just have to put in the time and practice, practice, practice, .....
