I am new to the rc flying hobby. I am going to buy a field charger and was wondering who makes the best charger ? Thanks.

If there is a standard in this part of the world its probably the Hobbico Mark II,with one of those C Tire 12 volt power units well charged,which will run your starter too with lots of oomph,includes a light,can be used around the house,will jump start your car etc.......they are on sale regularly.

I've been using the Hobbico Accucycle Elite for a little over a year now. It will charge two batteries at once, NiCD, NiMH or Lithium based. Only restriction is that you do not charge two batteries connected to a common ground (e.g. receiver).

Use it to charge my batteries from my Jeep on the way to the field, or at home or at the field.
