60size two stroke is right in the middle of the majority of 3D planes out there. I would say try to find a slightly larger profile, that calls for a 46 or 50 2 stroke. May want to check out great hobbies since I know they just started to carry OMP planes. Maybe a Fusion??

Also on the prop, you need a bigger one. 12X4 APC is the prop of choice for .46's. So your going to want to step it up a bit from that.

Good luck!!

prop

12x6 should be better . Two revolutions moves it 1 foot. 12,000rpm moves it 6000feet per minute.

so for the .60 OS, i should go to 12x6? could i even go up to a 13x4?
i realize that i need to be hovering at least 1/2 throtle so some experimenting will be in order.

the Airplane is already built and i have a .60 OS so in other words, trying to save some money. I have made improvments on the airframe by giving it bigger control surfaces (way bigger).

i have been flying 3D with a Radix3D foamie and would like to try a gas one within a budget. i realize that sometimes it just easier to buy what is required but that isn't an option for me.

your help is much appreciated..... when this little project is done, i will post some pics and an update on flights....

I would definitely go bigger than 12" diameter. 13X4 would be better, but I don't really know the best prop for that engine.

My os 50 spins a 13x4 with authority. 14x4 at least. BTW I have the os50 on a 36 h9 tribute. it is redonculious.
