Replacing stock Blade Pro Battery

Hi guys, I am looking for a little advice. I would like to buy another battery(Li-Po) for the Blade Pro. The one that it comes stock with is 11.1v 800mah 3s.

I was told that the stock batteries are not that great and I can buy better for less. So what do you recommend for a batt. Also, if I were to go with a bigger batt (950-1200mah) will there be any damage done to the stock charger? I realize that there will be a longer charge time but I would not want to ruin the charger or a new batt. What do you guys think of these Apogee batt?

My wallet is alot lighter since getting into Helis as a hobby

You will probably not get a better quality battery for a lower price than what E-Flite sells theirs for. You can certainly get better batteries, but you will also need a different charger. The Thunder Power 1320 (w/ JST connector) would be an excellent choice. It's a high quality battery with the appropriate connector already soldered on. If you use anything other than the stock battery you will need a different charger, provided you have the stock one now.

Why can't you use the stock charger?
Somedays you're the dog and somedays you're the hydrant.

One of the most popular choices is the ThunderPower 910 3cell lipo. It comes with the stock JST connector which fits in the stock charger. I'm looking to pick one up soon. The 1320s are known to be a little on the heavy side...

I just picked up a new battery today, best thing I've bought yet! It's an E-sky 3 cell 1000mah pack. It has the same connectors and works with the stock e-flite charger. The flight time was amazing, I was flying for over 15 mins, but my anti-rotation pin snapped in mid flight so I couldn't tell how long the battery would last. It's a little heavier than stock, but made the heli much more stable in the wind. Best of all, it cost $30cdn!! half the price of the e-flite pack!
