Engine Size and Lipo combo

Alrigth i figured i would go to the best place to post my question.

Building a WW1 combat plane i need to have 12,000 rpm or better and has to last for a woping 8 min at full throttle. turing a apc 10X3 prop. what motor battery speed controll should i get. iv looked around and done alot of resurch on theory but want praticle involved now. can you guys help me out. the plane is a neuiport 11 at 44" span and should weigh in at 4lbs or less. dont need speed just thrust to fly with streamers.

Have you tried motocalc or some of the other calcualtors out there for determining the combos for this plane. July 2007 Backyard flyer had a great article on how to dtermine all the stuff you need to know. If you have a fax I could copy the article and send it to you.

think you would want a motr that could provide about 70-90 watts per pound.
