Go with either the G3.5 , Reflex, or Phoenix sim
All are high resolution and work best with a graphics card.

I have rooted for/used Reflex for a few years and recently tried Phoenix.. I think I would go for Phoenix if I were in the Market for a sim, it just seems 'brighter' and better all around

I really like my G3.5. I wouldn't suggest reflex. reflex looks good, but the flight physics seem too far out.
you don't need CNC if you are handy with a torch.

I agree with Carlyle. I've messed with many of the modern sims and would highly recommend G3.5

I have tried both and prefer Reflex XTR - I actually found its physics to be better than G3.5 although the models take a bit more tweaking than in G3.5. Can't go wrong with either IMO.

I use Realflight 3.5 - works great. If you add wind and updraft, it's very realistic. It's what Colin uses and recommends - you can't get a much better endorsement than that.

XTR is nice, but it's hardware interface and software driver seem to have strange, unexplained issues on some systems.

Phoenix is interesting.
