3 Metre hinging

Im finishing up the assembley of an electro ARF version of the Bird of time with ailerons.
Opinions pls on hinging the ailerons which will be used as flaperons and spoilerons too.
The very poor instructions that came with the model say to use 3M clear tape............never did this before.

Hi Kevin,

I think the idea here is to get a completely sealed gap between the ailerons and wing surface. I don't see any reason you cannot do it
since a lot of smaller electrics use it all the time.
Make sure you use a quality tape brand aka 3M brand. If you seal the
top first, then flex the aileron up and seal the bottom into the gap as well.

Tape hinges are ok for sailplanes.They work well and seal the gap.But use quality tape.
